Risk management services have been Clifton’s focus for nearly 27 years.  The strategy of risk mitigation through overlay management was developed by Clifton in 1986 in partnership with the firm’s first traditional overlay services client and their consultant.  Today, traditional overlay management  continues to serve as the cornerstone of Clifton’s business and from this base the firm has expanded to offer broader risk management strategies like Global Balanced Risk (customized Risk Parity solutions), Defensive Equity (low-volatility solution), and Equal Sector Commodities.
